Forever Flat

These shoes are so so comfortable! Every detail has been thought through... You can tell these were designed and tested by women. There's arch support, yay! There's serious padding so walking is comfortable, yay! And they look like nice cute classy shoes instead of frumpy, yay! Best new brand, thank you Nordstrom for bringing these in. Love them.

This shoe meant well, but is so poorly constructed that it negated the best intentions. Soft leather and good arch support didn't mean much when the materials and construction are too poor to actually support the foot. The heel counter broke within two weeks of wearing, and the toe of the shoe has gashed open from flimsy leather. One month later, they've become expensive decorations for my closet floor; and I'm on the hunt for a new brand of flats. I'm actually really surprised Nordstrom carries this shoe, they usually have higher standards for design and manufacturing than this.

I own three pair of these and am thrilled to see them at Nordstrom. I have plantar fasciitis, Morton’s neuroma, a knee replacement, and another bad knee. These shoes are my go to for every occasion. I can count on these shoes for long days and any occasion. Dress them up or down. If you have foot or knee issues, try these. I was pleasantly surprised.

The caramel is a lovely color and I think it looks really nice on. I also liked that there was more room in the toe box. My heel slipped out the back as someone who usually wears 5.5, but that could be remedied. The sole seems to have nice orthotic features which I loved, but it's got an odd design such that if you wear these barefoot you can feel where there are two different fabrics that meet along the center of your foot. I didn't like feeling the sewn line under the center of my foot. My ankles also felt a bit unstable in these, possibly because the bottom of the shoe seems narrower than the insert, not sure. Really wanted to keep, but had to return.
