The Mischa Shortie Super High Waist Wide Leg Jeans

These jeans were great before I tried to wash them - beautiful, trouser-like look. Very classy. Then, I followed washing instructions, and they completely changed. Not only did the color fade (to be expected to a point with darker denim, I guess), but there are now creases that show despite my attempts at steaming and ironing -- I think because the areas with creases faded even more than the rest of the jeans, so there are lighter-colored ridges now. Super disappointing from a brand that usually delivers quality clothes.

These were disappointing. Thin material with a lot of stretch. My usual size 25 was too tight on the waist through the thigh. AND I’m 5’3 and these were about three inches too short. Hit right above my ankles. Wash was okay but honestly not as impressive as in the photo, the yellowish stitching made these feel cheap to me. I’m ordering a size up and the regular length, but not confident I’ll end up keeping those either. For reference I’m built a little curvy, 25 waist and 35 hip. This is my first time trying this brand and so far, not impressed.

For years, we’ve been looking for a pair of jeans with the same attention to detail and design for shorter lengths than regular. These aren’t the same pant as regular with a shorter inseam, it’s designed for a shorter body with adjusted proportions. The denim is substantial and holds you in; I’m not worried about it stretching out in 15 minutes.
