Deep V-Neck Merino Wool & Silk Cardigan

The cardigan is very nice. It’s soft and comfortable. Nevertheless, in my opinion, most of Madewell‘s tops, blouses and sweaters run a the large side. I always seem to have to size down one size. I ordered medium. Returned .They didn’t have a small in stock. Ordered it on the Madewell website. it was on sale for $99.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent sweater, it is lightweight and super soft. The quality is undeniable and it is super stretchy. I stay quite warm in it, so I can definitely tell that it is mostly made out of merino wool!My two complaints are 1) the metal buttons are very difficult to unbutton/button and 2) the neckline is extremely low. I could see from the photos it is a plunging v-neck, which I am fine with. However the fabric is stretchy, so If the sweater caught on anything, or got pulled slightly by a jacket, someone would definitely get flashed! I am a rather slim build, with small cup size, so it might stay on better for fuller women, it also would show cleavage on bigger cup size (I'm an A for reference)

I now have three pieces in this merino/silk blend and I love them all for their warmth, comfort, and style. I hope that you do more items with it in the future, so I can have even more color options. If you haven't tried any of the merino/silk blend knits yet, know that they are not itchy at all and very soft. I've also used the crewneck sweater as a base layer under heavier sweaters on really frigid days and it's really helped. The fit is close to the body and true to size, but nicely stretchy.

I LOVE this sweater! It’s fitted without looking tight. The material is what makes this top perfect. The merino silk material is thin, but warm and cooling. I’ve worn it twice and received compliments both times. I wish I would’ve purchased multiple of these in every single color but they sold out! It is dry clean only, which is the only downside.
