A Great Three Season Performer
I wanted to get out and use these before writing this review, so that's what I've done over the last six months. I've thoroughly enjoyed these pants. The stretch is excellent, they move naturally while hiking or scrambling without feeling too restrictive. At first, I was hesitant due to the trim fit, but this has been a big plus. They're streamlined enough that I don't snag the fabric on brush or with my microspikes. I've also been impressed with their ability to cut wind, which has helped a lot above the treeline. I've worn these down to 35F on their own, and with a pair of Alpine Onset Merino 150's around 20F and been perfectly comfortable.
These pants strike a great balance between breathability and protection. Overall I feel like these are great 3-season capable pant with a great warmth-to-weight balance.

Horrid piling (aka micro plastic shedding)
Horrible durability. I bought these and climbed in them for ONE weekend and they piled so horribly that they now look trashed. Too bad OR didn’t do their material homework on these, otherwise they’d be good.

These pants have performed well through quite of the spectrum of weather. From wet, windy summer time weather, sleeting snow winter weather, yet still breathable and nice in dry summer climates. Colder weather, I would recommend a base layer underneath. I am 5' 7'' 170 and medium fits well. little long, but I am short so its to be expected.

Amazing Pants
Used these pants to hike in CO and they were amazing. Hold up well with hiking in colder weather and also very breathable when temps get a little warmer.
Also use them to go out and around town because they still look classy and are very comfortable to relax in. Highly recommend

The Outdoor Research Cirque Pants are fantastic for hiking. They’re very durable and handle rough trails well. They do pill a little over time, but it doesn’t affect performance. The zippers at the bottom are a great feature for tapering over boots, making them super practical. Comfortable, sturdy, and a solid choice for any outdoor adventure.

Comfortable, Stylish, and True to Size – Highly Recommended
I absolutely love these pants. From the moment I put them on, they quickly became one of my favorite wardrobe staples. They’re incredibly comfortable—soft enough to lounge in but structured enough to wear out without feeling underdressed. What really impressed me is how they fit true to size. There was no guesswork or weird sizing; they fit just right in all the right places, which is hard to find sometimes.
Another great feature is their appearance. While they feel as cozy as sweatpants, they definitely don’t look like them at first glance. They have a clean, tailored look that makes them versatile enough to wear to casual outings, run errands, or even to a relaxed workplace setting. I’ve had a few people ask where I got them, which speaks to their subtle but stylish appeal.
These pants strike a perfect balance between comfort and appearance, making them a fantastic choice for anyone looking for something functional yet presentable. Whether you're lounging at home or stepping out, they perform well in both scenarios.
Overall, I highly recommend these. They’re a solid choice if you're after comfort without sacrificing style. I’m already thinking about getting another pair in a different color.
