Cascade Backpack - Standard

This item was described as waterproof when I looked at it at Nordstrom & at Portland, and that was important to me when I bought it. However, it just arrived, and the tag says water resistant, waterproof construction. Water resistant will not protect its innards when the tide comes in or when I drop it in the river or when it stands in a puddle during a monsoon. I'm deciding whether to keep it, but other shoppers should know that the description is misleading.

I read a lot of reviews that said the standard bag fit perfectly under the airplane seat and that’s not always the case. I sat in a premium middle seat and had to bend the bag and push it with my feet to fit under the seat. It fit perfectly under the window seat though. Otherwise I love the bag. I’m going to keep it and also buy the compact size. But I was very disappointed in all the reviews that said the bigger bag was perfect.
