Bondi SR Shoe (Men)

As others have mentioned, you do have to size up a full size, at least from Cliftons. I sized up 1.5 sizes from my Cliftons, and the base of the 1.5 size bigger Bondi SR is almost the same size. As others have mentioned, this shoe is really stiff out of the box. Two toes got really bruised from going down hills on day one in these since they're so stiff. The uppers do loosen up. After one week of 1 hour/day exercise, it was a lot more comfortable and not cutting into the top of my foot or bruising my toes anymore. Pro: I was looking for a shoe I wouldn't slip in when it rains as the Cliftons get slippery. This definitely does the trick. I haven't had issues even going down hills (on roads) with these. Cons: - The base of the shoe is very stiff, and hasn't loosened up -- I think it's made this way. Because it's so stiff, whenever I go over an unexpected uneven bit of pavement, I worry about my foot twisting. - It's a much heavier shoe due to the materials. After using these shoes for 2 straight weeks in the rain, I switched back to my old Cliftons today and it was like when I first fell in love with Hoka's - light and airy, and as a result, my times were 1 minute less per mile. I hadn't realized there had been such a significant impact of this heavier shoe. So the bottom line is that this shoe does what it says in terms of being slip resistant, so great for exercise in the rain. As long as you size up and break them in, they're mostly comfortable. You do have to be careful of uneven terrain, and when it's dry out, I won't be using these.

Got a larger size usually wear 11 1/2. Purchased a 12 feels boxy looks boxy compared to the hoka transporter shoes, I purchased as well. I tend to have my toes hit the front of the shoes when walking and thought a larger size would be better. I decided to keep these and put orthotics in them. I like that they are water resistant.
