The chemical-free UPF 50+ protection is built directly into the fabric, so it does not wash out, giving you reliable sun protection every time you wear it without the need to continually reapply protection to covered skin. The looser, relaxed fit provides an easy and comfortable silhouette that moves effortlessly with you, making the top ideal for both active days and everyday wear. The buttery-soft, breathable fabric is lightweight and comfortable against the skin, while four-way stretch provides the flexibility and freedom of movement needed for running, walking, tennis, golf, paddle boarding, and other activities. Moisture-wicking and quick-drying performance helps move moisture away from your body and allows the fabric to dry quickly, helping you stay comfortable when you're active or spending time in warm weather. The fabric also provides a cooling effect of approximately 5 degrees when wet with water or sweat, making it especially comfortable for swimming, boating, paddle boarding, and other activities around the water. Thumbholes provide additional hand protection while helping keep the sleeves securely in place and preventing them from riding up during activity. Antimicrobial and odor-resistant properties help the garment stay fresher during active use, making it a practical choice for travel, exercise, outdoor adventures, and extended days away from home. The fabric is laboratory tested according to AATCC TM 183 to verify the stated UPF 50+ protection. UPF protection works similarly to SPF protection from sunscreen, and while an average white cotton shirt provides only about UPF 5, this BloqUV top provides UPF 50+ protection for covered skin. The fabric is also free of BPA and BPS toxins. In addition to its sun-protective properties, the fabric provides a cooling effect of approximately 5 degrees when wet with water or sweat, helping you stay comfortable during warm-weather activities. The Women’s Scallop Top Relaxed is designed to be easy to care for and maintain. Wash the garment before wearing because some colors may bleed, and machine wash it on a gentle cycle with cold water and like colors only. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners, and do not wash the garment with Velcro. For best results, lay the garment flat or hang it to dry away from natural sunlight, and do not iron or use a heated tumble dryer. Some sunscreens may cause discoloration of the garment, so take care when applying sunscreen while wearing it. For spot cleaning, BloqUV recommends products such as a Tide to Go Pen, Clorox non-bleach wipes, or baby wipes. When using a Tide to Go Pen, do not rub the garment vigorously; instead, blot the affected area and wash the garment afterward for best results. Tide to Go Pens should be used on light-colored garments only.
