Men's Short Sleeve Crew Sun Shirt

Details & care

The BloqUV Men's Short Sleeve Crew is a versatile UPF 50+ sun-protective shirt designed to provide comfortable coverage and freedom of movement during active outdoor activities and everyday wear. Made with proprietary BloqTek™ sun-protective performance fabric, this short-sleeve crew neck shirt provides UPF 50+ protection and blocks 98% of UVA and UVB rays to help protect covered skin from sun exposure. The UV protection is chemical-free and woven directly into the fabric fibers, so it does not wash out, providing consistent protection wear after wear and wash after wash. The shirt can be worn on its own, as a base layer, or as a swim shirt, making it a versatile addition to an active wardrobe. The true-fit design provides a comfortable, streamlined fit that allows natural movement without feeling restrictive. The short sleeves provide coverage while keeping the shirt lightweight and comfortable for warm-weather activities. A reflective trim on the back adds visibility, making the shirt especially useful for running, biking, walking, and other activities where increased visibility can be beneficial. The classic crew neck styling also makes it easy to wear with athletic shorts, swimwear, or casual clothing. The Men's Short Sleeve Crew is designed for a wide range of activities, including running, biking, swimming, paddle boarding, fishing, boating, tennis, indoor workouts, and other athletic pursuits. Its versatile construction also makes it appropriate for everyday leisure wear, allowing you to move easily from an outdoor activity to errands or casual settings without needing to change. The proprietary BloqTek™ fabric provides UPF 50+ sun protection and is laboratory tested according to AATCC TM 183 to verify the stated UPF rating. The fabric blocks 98% of UVA and UVB rays to help protect covered skin from ultraviolet exposure. Because the sun protection is incorporated into every fiber rather than applied as a surface treatment, the UV protection does not wash out. This provides lasting sun protection without requiring the protection in the garment to be reapplied. The soft, lightweight, breathable fabric features four-way stretch, providing comfortable flexibility and freedom of movement during workouts, sports, swimming, and everyday activities. The buttery-soft feel helps keep the shirt comfortable during extended wear, while the breathable construction helps you stay cooler during high-output workouts and warm-weather activities. The fabric also provides an approximately 5-degree cooling effect when wet with water or sweat, making it particularly useful for swimming, paddle boarding, boating, fishing, and other activities where the shirt may become wet. Moisture-wicking and quick-drying performance helps move moisture away from the body and allows the fabric to dry quickly, helping you remain more comfortable during workouts and outdoor activities. The quick-drying construction is particularly beneficial for water activities because the shirt can dry more quickly after swimming or getting wet. Combined with the cooling effect when wet, these performance features make the shirt well suited for hot-weather activities and high-output exercise. The performance fabric is designed to handle repeated use while maintaining its fit and appearance. Shrink-resistant construction helps the shirt retain its shape with proper care, while antimicrobial and odor-resistant properties help it stay fresher during workouts, travel, and repeated wear. Flat seams provide a smooth feel against the skin while contributing to comfort, durability, and a clean finished appearance. The lightweight, packable construction also makes the shirt easy to fold into a gym bag, backpack, suitcase, or travel bag, making it convenient to take wherever your activities lead. BloqTek™ is exclusive to BloqUV and is specifically engineered for sun-protective performance clothing. BloqUV states that its UPF protection does not wash out and that the fabric provides an approximately 5-degree cooling effect when wet with water or sweat. BloqUV also states that its fabrics are tested according to AATCC TM 183 to ensure the UPF 50+ protection is as stated. The company explains that UPF is equivalent in rating and capability to SPF for sunscreens and notes that an average white cotton top provides only about UPF 5, making UPF 50+ fabric a significant increase in protection for covered skin. The BloqTek™ fabric is also free of BPA and BPS toxins. The Men's Short Sleeve Crew is available in sizes Small through XX-Large and in a wide range of colors, including Black, Caribbean Blue, Ice Blue, Indigo, Jade, Midnight Blue, Mocha, Navy, Ocean Blue, Smoke, Soft Gray, White, and Steel Gray. This range of sizes and colors makes it easy to choose a fit and style suitable for athletic activities, swimming, travel, or casual everyday wear. The Men's Short Sleeve Crew is particularly well suited for tennis, running, biking, swimming, paddle boarding, fishing, boating, workouts, and other outdoor activities where sun protection and freedom of movement are important. Its versatile styling also allows it to transition easily into everyday leisure wear or serve as a comfortable base layer underneath a jacket or other outer layer. The garment is designed for straightforward care to help preserve its sun protection, performance, fit, and appearance. Wash the shirt before wearing because some colors may bleed, and machine wash it on a gentle cycle with cold water and like colors only. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners, and do not wash the shirt with Velcro. For best results, lay the garment flat or hang it to dry away from natural sunlight, and do not iron or use a heated tumble dryer. Some sunscreens may cause discoloration of the garment, so take care when applying sunscreen while wearing the shirt. For spot cleaning, BloqUV recommends products such as a Tide to Go Pen, Clorox non-bleach wipes, or baby wipes. When using a Tide to Go Pen, do not rub the fabric vigorously and instead blot the affected area. For best results, wash the garment after applying the cleaning product, and use a Tide to Go Pen on light-colored garments only.
