Self Sizer Waist Plain Weave Pleated Washable Trousers

I’ve accumulated five pairs of these pants in different colors having discovered the brand a year and a half ago. Honestly, it’s one of the best things that’s ever happened to my wardrobe. Having worn them for a while, I’ve found them both breathable and relatively hard-wearing as dress pants go, thanks in part to the wool-polyester blend. The discrete elastic included in the waistband makes them unbelievably comfortable, which is a big plus. Best of all: they have a TRUE CLASSIC RISE, with the waistband falling at the natural waistline, as in—for example—much of the classic menswear of the ‘30s and ‘40s. In our fallen world of low-rise, skinny-fit, hip-hugging cultural barbarism this is a quality that’s nigh-on impossible to find in men’s pants, at least without the significant time and expense involved in going vintage or custom. But here they are! Perfect whether you’re a gentleman who appreciates classic style, a hipster going for that retro “anti-fit” look, or simply a guy who wants comfortable, classy-looking slacks for the office. No more pants clinging uncomfortably around your hip bones! No more perpetual re-tucking of shirts! No more ill-proportioned torso/leg! These pants were just what I wanted. Well tailored classic look. I was a little surprised that they were just put into a box with no protective wrapping but they were fine like that.
