TEN YEAR REVIEW OF THIS BELT STYLE
Ten years ago, I bought this belt. It is a cordovan color, perhaps the one now called "chili leather." I wear this belt all the time. For the last three years, I've lived in the country. So, I wear durable pants to work, then change into my suit. I do the reverse going home. This belt spends a lot of time on those durable pants AND I wear it with my suits if I am wearing my AE cordovan shoes. I figure I have worn it at least 1500 times, and it still looks good. No splits or cracks but a little compression and minor wear where the holes are (but not on the holes themselves). I bought a light tan belt of this type at the same time, but I don't wear it like the cordovan belt. It looks new. If these belts are made the same way, they are incredibly well-crafted.
I don't "take it easy" with this belt. It gets a workout. I could be a lot nicer in how I treat it. I really wish I had bought a brown and black one back when I bought this one. I am about to get a black one now, to see how it matches up with the good, old reliable belt. Thank you for reading.
