Waterproof Warm Raincoat
I purchased this coat for travel in Europe during December. Before leaving on my trip, I tested it for waterproof quality during a serious rainstorm. In Europe, the daytime temps were in the 30s and 40s and we were outside most of the day. This coat is casual, but warm and it kept me dry on wet days. I really loved the quality of construction and the high-tech fabric.

Insulated warm rain jacket
I loved the green color and the contrasting lining in burgundy. Unfortunately this style fit tight in my hip region (36/30/40). When I size up the upper body is gigantic. Zippered front hand pockets were good sized; the chest pocket was just barely big enough to fit a phone.

Lovely, but zipper is flawed
This jacket is a nice length, is waterproof and windproof. The Evening Blue color is lovely and looks even better than what is shown online. I like that the coat is hooded, the cuffs are adjustable, and that it is machine washable. The style is flattering and has a comfortable fit, that is, if you are only going to be standing all the while you are wearing the coat. I have previously purchased a Helly Hansen coat, but was hoping this coat would not have the same problem with the zipper. While the zipper color is a lovely subtle purple, it is highly inflexible. So much that, when one is seated, the coat rides up....not attractive. Initially, I had purchased one size up, but the coat was too large and had the same problem with the stiff zipper.

Great Jacket
This is a great jacket. I originally ordered a medium, tried it on and it fit really well. I usually wear a medium in most jackets but this one I needed to exchange for a large because I need to have enough room to move because I work with horses. And, it is 100% waterproof and the PrimaLoft insulation is lovely. Also, with the large I can wear a sweater underneath if needed. Gotta look good while mucking around the stalls and paddocks and I most certainly do in my Helly Hansen Olive colored Belfast Rain Jacket.

Excellent fit and a reasonable price
An excellent winter rain coat that is a flattering cut. Perfect length for the arms and torso. I'm 5'5" and ordered a small, but would have been also comfortable in a medium. I tend to like my coats fitted. My first choice is the olive green with the pink detailing but all my other coats are that color so I went with the traditional black. A must buy!

I love this coat
I had an earlier version of this coat a few years ago. I loved it for pacific northwest winters. It's the perfect coat for temperatures in the 30-50 degree range. It's not really warm enough for temps under 30 degrees but perfect for milder northwest weather (except this winter- it's been cold!). It's waterproof and the hood is great. It protects your face and doesn't fly off in the wind. I never liked the looks of my previous coat though. It was grey with pink trim and had a big white zipper. Honestly I thought it was ugly. Then I lost about 20 lbs and the coat was too big for me to wear. I've been searching for the ultimate winter coat since then. I wasn't going to get another Belfast coat due to the ugly factor. Then I saw the evening blue color here on the Nordstrom website. It's such a pretty shade of blue with a purple zipper instead of an ugly white one! I'm 5'5" 125 lbs pear shaped with narrow shoulders. I got the small and it fits great. I probably could have gotten an extra small but I don't think I could have worn any more than 2 thin layers with that. Now I can wear a long sleeve t shirt and a heavy cardigan and it looks great. It is perfect for 30-45 degree temperatures, waterproof and now it's cute (the evening blue shade is anyway). I think it's flattering as long as you don't buy it too big. It looks a bit dowdy if it's too big.

Warm, cozy, sporty
This coat is quite insulated, which gives it a slight bulk and stiffness but is super cozy if you're looking for a coat that will keep you warm as well as keep you dry. Initially I purchased an XS but found it too tight when zipped up, so exchanged for a small. I'm 5'5 and 128lb, small is true to size and will allow me to wear a light layer underneath. Style-wise, I would say it's modern and a bit sporty due to the contrast zipper (I chose black with white zipper) and I'll be using for casual wear.
