Adorable, but runs pretty small

The one I bought looks almost the same as the photos, but is longer and has a deeper, hemmed curve in front. I got my normal size in this brand (I really like Rails and have a lot of tops from them) and it was so tight that my shoulders felt squeezed and I couldn't get it buttoned without the bust area gapping out a bit. Sadly, sizing up ended up looking to big overall except that I still could not get the bust area to lay flat when buttoned up. It's a shame because the top is adorable and the embroidery is so happy and cute.
