Ballstars are the best
The ballstar is one of my fav looks and fits in GGDB. But for reference, I have a narrow foot with long toes. Lol. So a long-ish toe box is heaven for me. The ballstar style offers a longer toe box without compromising width of shoe. I can stay true to size with the ballstar at size 38 whereas, I have to size up on the superstar and stardan to get more room/length in the toe box (end of laces to tip of shoe). Maybe I have weird feet but love that GGDB has shoes that fit all foot types!

too bad
These are really cute and I wish they worked out. They make your foot look really long and narrow and the insole is rock hard. They are supposed to wear down over time but i didn’t like the way they made my feet look so long. These definitely run more long and narrow than the original super stars. These are not for anyone with wide feet.

Sound when walking
If you hear a squeak or click when you walk, take the insert out and clean the glue off. When done, put insert back in and the sound goes away.

Should have stuck with my usual GG size
I really like the suede and the color. However, I should have stuck with my usual 40 GG size. I have a foot that is a little bit on the wider size. Typically in other brands I am a true 9 wide or a 9.5 M. My other GG Sabot Superstars are a 10 US/40. They are roomy and perfect in length. I followed advice in other reviews not to size up and ordered a 9/39. They were so small and tight I couldn’t get them on my foot. I’m trying another Ball Star in a 10/40 and hoping for the best because I love the look. They do seem a little narrower than the Superstars, but other than a slightly longer toe box they don’t seem like a longer shoe to me.

Just Ok
I was so excited to receive these but I was underwhelmed. They are black suede, I was expecting regular leather but after looking closer at the pics I can see that they are suede but it wasn’t in the description. They squeak as the other reviewer commented and for such an expensive shoe I don’t want to take inserts out and problem solve. They fit me tts. I have long regular width feet. I am going to try a different pair that I can get more excited about and return these.
