MOTHER

Founded in 2010 by premium-denim industry pros Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding, MOTHER specializes in collections that present a juxtaposition of hard and soft. The brand evokes teenage rebellion, unconditional love and hilarious insult all at the same time (the company's name is a play on the duality of the word "mother," which can be nurturing or a cuss).

Not at all what I expected

I am a very loyal Nordie customer, but I am getting too many items that look used, smell bad and are not as pictured. I have Mother jeans that are true to size and are a staple of my denim wardrobe ...However, these jeans were very large on me and they didn't look new and even more disconcerting was the smell. To top it off, whoever packed the jeans for shipping, stuffed them into a really tiny mailing bag - not a nice presentation. I hope Nordstrom can do better.

LOVE LOVE

I have the hardest time as a woman of a certain age that still thinks she can look good in jeans…but actually found a jean I feel like a million dollars in. These are very flattering. I’m 5’9 hour glass shape, 175lbs, only downside is the inseam is really pushing it and can only wear flat shoes. Be nice if it was a 32 or 33 inch inseam.

perfect

Best fitting perfectly cut for over 60 with a pooch belly. High rise kept emphasizing my pooch but these hide it reasonably well:)

great cool girl jeans

I love these jeans. The fit is spot on- I wear a 27 and a 27 fit perfectly. For reference, I am 5’ 5” 142 lbs. The wash is perfect for this style. The seam that goes around gives it that cool girl look. It’s not obnoxious, just a little detail that makes them different.

absolutely amazing!

So flattering- can be worn casually or dressed up. Insanely comfortable! I’m 5’4, 123 lbs and a size 24 is a bit loose on me… I am fit so not sure how they would fit another body type. My new fave jeans!
