Liverpool Chelsea Boot (Men)

I always try to buy Allen Edmond shoes because they are such a good quality leather. I purchased these Chelsea boots after looking at other brands. I ordered one size larger because I have a high arch. As soon as I got them I took them to a bootblack and had them polished. They look like glass. I highly recommend these boots.

This shoe has a outstanding build. The materials that are used are first rate. The leather is soft and the details are refined. I am sorry they did not work out for my feet. They are very narrow boots. My measure is 9.5 D. The first pair was way to small at 9.5 D, so I ordered the 10 D. It was still too small, and not in a way that felt like the boot would break in to feel right on my feet. Nordstroms service as always was great, but after talking on the phone, the sales lead and I figured that this boot was not going to work for me. If you do order these boots, order one size wider and one size larger than normal. If they do fit, you will have a handsome pair of shoes. It is my understanding that Allen Edmonds was sold to a new owner. Some of the shoes they make now are not made in the USA. The first pair of AE's I bought years ago were the Warren style, and they are still holding up all these years later. The entire shoe is lined in fine soft leather. A few months ago, I picked up a pair of the Carlyle by AE. They are nice shoes, but the build is not anywhere near the Warren. The Carlyle I ordered was a D, and it is too snug. I can ware them, but at the end of the day, I am looking to get out of them ASAP. As much as I like the AE brand is the past, I may be looking at other brands due to changes in fit and finish, and the fact that not all the boots are made in the USA.
