Scoop Neck Maxi Dress

This is a lovely dress. Long enough for us tall gals but seems a bit undersized in the bust area especially compared to other UV Skinz garments. I fear it will be too snug if trying to wear it in the summer heat. The material is silky and the cut is very flattering. I would suggest sizing up.

I have been searching everywhere for a reasonably priced travel dress that is easy to take care of and looks great. The fit is true to size, the fabric breathes in hot humid climates and the quality of the sewing is excellent. Also, as I travel to more places where modest dress is required, am happy I found this dress. It covers the legs, shoulders and is not too low in the front. I did have to shorten it a little because I am short but loved this dress so much I ordered another one in another color. This dress is so perfect.

As a caveat, I am a ginger with a family history of skin cancer-and I had a basil cell cancer removed in my early twenties, 25 years ago. I am extremely use to wearing full coverage UV clothing outdoors-no skin showing at all. I prefer dresses for comfort and to prevent any material riding up and exposing my waist to the sun. Keep that in mind, if you aren’t use to wearing full coverage in the sun, it may take some getting use to. The material this dress (and others that are sleeveless) are made out of is far more comfortable than any other UV dresses I own. I appreciate the skirt is long-so many companies don’t offer full leg coverage. I recently wore this working at a children’s event outdoors in a heat warning with temps up to 104F (along with bandana for neck coverage and full brimmed hat) and I was very comfortable. I did sweat a lot bc it was crazy hot and humid, but my skin covered by this dress was not hot to the touch. I was very pleased to wear something stylish with UV protection. It was like incognito UV clothing-instead of the swishy polyester fabric from most places. Highly recommend!

This is one of the most flattering dresses I’ve ever bought. Even though it’s long and long sleeve, it is surprisingly cool even for Texas summer. I am planning to buy another one very soon.

The style, fit, color and fabric (both feel and print) are lovely. It is very long, which I have seen mentioned in other reviews, but I was anxious to wear it so I just tied each side up and it looked okay- I may have it hemmed later. I’m 5’2” and wore it with sandals. It’s hard to find a long sleeve maxi dress that doesn’t look frumpy, and I think the cut and fitted style of this one works well.
