Responsible Sourcing

Our Approach
Our Responsible Sourcing program is grounded in continuous improvement and transparency. We assess supplier performance through third-party evaluations of their human and labor rights practices and, when needed, collaborate on corrective action plans to help our suppliers realize stable and improved conditions for workers. To drive real change for the people who make our products, we take a hands-on approach—conducting regular training on human rights for suppliers and employees and providing localized support to promote gender equity in our supply chains.
We follow a defined human rights due diligence approach, aligned with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Business Conduct and the United Nations Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights. We integrate this process throughout our supply chain, including into decisions about how we source, how we onboard suppliers and how we identify, assess and mitigate human rights concerns across our supply chain activities.
Our Human Rights Due Diligence Process

The Nordstrom human rights due diligence model mirrors the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) model.

Our Guiding Policies
At the heart of our responsible sourcing approach are several policies designed to positively impact real lives. This starts with our Partner Code of Conduct, which establishes the minimum standards we expect in terms of compliance, ethical business, labor standards, environmental sustainability and animal welfare.
Two other policies build on this foundational code: our Forced Labor Policy and Conflict Minerals Policy. The Forced Labor Policy outlines our prevention principles as well as our reporting mechanism for forced labor violations. Our Conflict Minerals Policy, which reflects current industry standards, details our process for monitoring the origin and use of gold, tantalum, tin and tungsten in our Nordstrom Made supply chain.
Maintaining Supply Chain Transparency
Each year, we publish our full list of finished goods Nordstrom Made suppliers for stakeholders to see exactly where our products are made and by which suppliers. Our publicly disclosed 2024 Supplier Map covered 99% of Tier 1 suppliers that produce Nordstrom Made products.
This list is subject to change due to shifts in sourcing practices. We strive to keep the disclosure of our strategic suppliers as current as possible by updating the list annually.
