Wood Tipped Steel Coat Rack

This good looking, simple and well thought out rack has a severe Achilles heel — the attachment point is very poorly designed and engineered virtually ensuring failure in a short period of time. Both our units have failed due to the poorly engineered plastic (NOT steel) plug that receives the threaded bolt that holds the post upright to the base. Once it comes loose — and it unfailingly will — the unit is kaput. Curiously, Yamazaki will not provide a simple replacement part. Handsome, but junk.
