too narrow too small

They ran to small so I have to take them back to get a 10 which I never wore 10 in my life nine is the biggest size of shoe that I ever wore my normal size as a size 8 but certain shoes when they were small or I’m not sure I always get a nine but never 10 these shoes run small and narrow. Hopefully the 10 will work. I wanted to because it matches my purse.
