Nina V-Neck Cotton T-Shirt

This tee fits like most Free People tops- very roomy, so size down. It's really soft and feels like the kind of shirt you can live in on a lazy Saturday afternoon. It's got a very deep V, and sits comfortably on the edge or even off the shoulders. I'm taking off a star and sending back because the care instructions on the label are "hand wash, lay flat to dry", whereas the care instructions in the description are "machine wash, line dry." A tee that needs to be hand washed is a deal breaker for me.

I really like the casual detail and fit of this top. It is long, not short and is not really boxy on me. I ordered a small, usually I am a medium. Because it is meant to be oversized, I would order down a size. The Flowering Ginger is a very pretty color of pink. The quality of fabric is very good. I have not washed this garment yet, but I would let it air dry to avoid any shrinkage. I will wear another layer underneath. I am going to order the same top in white. Again, it is a casual look.

I typically wear a Medium, order a small and still have the oversized look. I appreciate the V neck and not too deep. The sleeves are not hemmed.

The string is useful on this don’t cut it if you want to lift the V, you put a knot in it to keep it on the shoulders too. I bought xl in grey and large in black. It is slightly oversized . I went with normal size. I also have a large torso they really fit me with slight flare on bottom. Very comfortable. At glance both L and XL are same. In person the M would not have fit me right

I bought this in white, and happily it's not really see-through at all due to the solid cotton material. I had a black bra under the white and I couldn't tell it was black, so that tells you about the material's thickness. I've learned from past Free People purchases that their tops are usually enormous. Some people may like the giant fit as that is a style. I don't like it, so I buy the smallest size I can get. I'm normally a Medium (5'6" and 145 lbs), but in this brand I generally buy XS and they fit more to my taste, but still surprisingly roomy. The XS fits me like the photo of the white top, and I tuck it into the front of my leggings and it is out around the sides and back, like the photos show. I wouldn't wear the top without tucking it in in the front because it would just look too large and that isn't a style I like. The V-neck is fairly low, but in the XS it's still fine and isn't excessively low. My bra doesn't show but I'm sure it would in a larger size. So choosing a size depends on the look you want. The photos of a dark version of the top with a tank top under it is probably a small or medium so the neckline is bigger, the V is deeper, it could be off one shoulder. The model still tucked it into her pants in the front because it looks better that way, less tent-like in the body. P.S. My husband loves the look of my white one!

I’m 5,2 and 122 pounds, purchased the x- small and it runs super large. This shirt is only for those that like the extra large look. Definitely need to wear a shirt under because the v neck is long. I’m returning.
