Plum is hard and robust with intriguing colour and vivid grain; the surface is oil-sealed against water, which also gives it a soft gleam. Five stacked blades plus a precision edging blade shave very close and gently, and the simple, safe handling suits newcomers. Cartridges are available everywhere.
