Great Cream
Last year I noticed some lines around my top lip and I tried everything to help smooth them out. I had tried a lot of creams and oils with no luck. For some reason I tried this cream and I love it. This is the only cream I had tried that makes my lines look smoother, and I've only been using it for a few weeks. I'm 62 and I've had oily skin all my life, but this cream has a fresh fragrance that I love, and it isn't oily. This will definitely be a must have for me. Thank you, Bobbi Brown.

BEWARE if using retinol
My skin has acclimated over the last six months to a 1% retinol. For the last 4-5 months was skin was doing beautifully with the 1% retinol. Then I tried this Face Base. The first time I used it, my skin stung a bit. (At this point I should have washed it off) but I continued with my makeup routine. The next day I used it again. BIG MISTAKE. My skin burned and foolishly I didn't wash it off but continued with my makeup. By evening I had full-blown severe contact dermatitis. My face is bright red and extremely irritated. I suspect it's the strong citrus fragrance in the product that did this. So BEWARE if using a retinol product - even if your skin is acclimated to the retinol - this Face Base will cause a burn and irritation like no other.

lovely moisturizer - container, not so much
I love this moisturizer. It's smells good, it goes on my skin easily, and absorbs quickly. I HATE the container. Form should follow function and that principle was ignored completely. This is expensive product; swiping your finger into a tub is not acceptable for me. I have tubes of Dermalogica - now there's a delivery system! OK, enough. Lovely moisturizer - container, not so much.

A little too much for my oily skin.
When I purchased this cream I planned on using it during the day under my makeup. When I first used it I loved it, it feels so good on my skin and smells nice and fresh. I used it for a few days and by the middle of my day my face felt oily and I needed to put powder on or blot it with an oil sheet. I went into DT Seattle Nordstrom and was told that with my skin type I should use this in the evening and something lighter during the day like the oil-free hydrating gel. I have been doing this along with the intensive skin supplement and my skin feels amazing and isn't oily even by the end of the day.

Good Morning Moisturizer
This is a good morning moisturizer to apply before makeup however it's not a good primer it doesn't fill in the lines or pores.

I like this face base very much. The fragrance is delightfully clean and fresh, not at all like a heavy perfume. I wish the scent lasted longer, but unfortunately it disappears pretty quickly.
Though there may be no cream that really does all that it claims, this face base gives my skin all-day softness without ever being oily. It does seem to allow my make-up to look fresher longer, so I will continue to use it.
Four stars rather than five merely because of the price. It does go a long way, though, so I think it will be a reasonable value after all.
