Ultra-Black Lash Lift Serum Mascara

Well…. It’s certainly not the first mascara I’d reach for. I suppose it will also depend a little on what effect you’re going for. It’s definitely not a volumising mascara. It gives a very natural, subtle look, but has a tendency to be a liiiittle clumpy, and no matter what i always get small black spots under my eyes where it flakes off and the smudges. Not my favourite, but will do in a pinch.

I had a mini of this and used it whilst on holiday recently and was surprised how much I liked it. I've got fairly long but quite sparse lashes, and I felt this enhanced them to just the right level for natural looking but much improved level. It had good staying power, the brush allows a very precise and non clumping application, and removes well with eye make up remover. A good mascara.

I would say this mascara is just alright and does the job but definitely expected more. It doesn't really make my eyelashes longer or add much volume. I would give it a three star however, reflecting back at the price, there are many much cheaper alternatives mascaras that I think could outperform this mascara and therefore a two star instead.

I wear this mascara every day for work and I find it’s really nice for this. When I’m at work I don’t want to wear too much mascara or have clumpy mascara. I find this gives my lashes a nice definition but isn’t too much, but on the weekends when I wear more makeup I use a different mascara. I haven’t noticed it smudging as other reviews have said, and it stays on well. I can’t say I’ve noticed many effects though from it being a serum.
