Print Button Front Skirt

I ordered this in 3 prints, the black and white which has light pink, light blue and some brown in it, the navy and white and the pink and green. I ordered 2 in small and one in medium and decided to exchange the smalls for mediums. The length is perfect for my height (5’3”). There are pockets which was a nice surprise but even better, they don’t add bulk which I find is the case sometimes with more fitted skirts. The smalls fit but bunched slightly in the back below the waist. I’m 123 lbs and have 38’ hips for reference.

I really thought I would fall in love with this skirt. It fit perfectly in the waist and is a great length. Plus it has pockets!! But the skirt isn't lined (nor is it fit for curvier people). It was tight in the butt and the buttons gaped--showing underwear or whatever bike shorts you wear underneath. Better fitted for a straight frame.

I tend to size skirts up to medium (I'm a 4/small in most other clothing items) for a more relaxed waist and glad I did, the fit is perfect, at the natural waist. I do not have any button gaping but could see that would happen if i hadn't sized up. There is no stretch. Drapes well, pockets are the kind you can't help but relax into, and the buttons allow as much or as little slit as you want. Looks great with a white tee and tall boots, sneakers, or sandals. Lightweight for summer but not see thru, packs well for a trip. 40 year old with mama tummy poking out of an otherwise slim build, and this is SO flattering.

3 stars for the return process, but would have given 5 for the skirt. Ordered this skirt and went by the size chart. Well, it was a little big so it had to be returned. The skirt was cute, comfortable and I liked the material. Only problem is I want a smaller size but I used a gift card to purchase it so I couldn't do an exchange. I don't have a Nordstorm close to me (2 hours away) so the day after I received it I shipped it back. That was on 6/24/2022 and as of today, 7/10/2022 I'm still waiting for my gift card to be credited back to my account so I can order the smaller size. It will most likely be out of stock in that size by the time I get the credit, so pretty bummed about that. Wish there was an easier way to exchange something when using a gift card.
