OR Down Hoodie
Much warmer than I thought it would be. Packable, comfortable and ease of arm movement. Perfect for hiking, XC skiing, outdoor use, layering or wearing alone. It also has an attractive fit.

Would not recommend.
I bought this jacket for a hiking trip to Patagonia in November. I was very excited to try it out as I have a few down jackets but wanted to splurge and buy a nice new one for my trip, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. I would rate it 2.5/5.
I also wear it on walks in the early morning in Southern California in ~50* and it does not keep me warm unless I wear a fleece under it. i have other down jackets that keep me warm without additional layers in the same weather.
Pros:
- the jacket material is buttery and feels really nice
- the lined pockets were nice
-lightweight and packs up very small
Cons:
- very thin, this did not keep me warm at all (wore it while hiking or hanging out at the campsite at night mid 40s - mid 50s with some mild wind at times). I had to wear either a wind breaker over it or a fleece under it.
- already some fray along the zipper. Nothing bad but I only have worn it for 2 weeks.
- has a boxy/ baggy fit that i don’t prefer. I am 5’3, 115lbs and I bought a small. A fleece fit underneath comfortably but there was still a ton of room. The small was very long on me.

Some Quality Issues
I’ve had this jacket for around 4 months and have used it almost daily for both casual walks and intense hikes. I’ve noticed that it leaks a lot of down, but I can’t quite tell from where. Another quality issue I’ve had is with the elastic cinch on the hem, which broke and no longer cinches. The elastic is fine, but the plastic part of the cinch doesn’t close down on to the elastic anymore. This jacket is warm, lightweight, and extremely soft, but has a couple of those downsides. Additionally, it doesn’t seem to run larger to account for wearing multiple layers underneath. I’m 5’5 and 120 pounds, and a size small barely fits with a merino long sleeve and fleece jacket underneath.

Great light weight jacket
I love how this jacket is light weight, but very warm. I live in Germany and have worn it in mid/low 20's with winds 15-25mph. Wearing two layer underneath required me to not zipper it up until the wind was in my face. I didn't have a hat, but no problem because the hood kept me warm while blocking the wind.

Probably designed for 18 year olds
1. Arm holes too small, cuts too close to armpit.
2. Waist tapers inwards too much for regular fit. This is lock step in the sizing chart ladies you better have a 28 inch waist the jacket needs to be more roomy in the middle shoulder and lats. And if I sized up, then length of sleeve might be too long and drag the dirt.
3. No drawstring for hood. Big hair ponytail people need drawstring on hood.
Everything else, color, weight, Is good.
Compared to this size small 2025 Transcendent jacket, I provided pictures with my 2010 model of the OR, lightweight down hooded zip up jacket. I am trying to replace it but maybe every new product is falling short. One can see the difference. Returning.

Love it!
I really enjoy wearing this down hoodie. I’m 5’2”, 130 pounds, and bought a medium. I prefer my gear not to be tight and this size works perfectly to pair it with a light fleece underneath (it pairs super well with the trail mix quarter zip). It keeps me warm on hikes in moderately cold temps like 0 to -10c if properly layering. It is so lightweight that I barely feel like I’m wearing anything, which is so lovely. I have very good range of motion and don’t feel confined - it moves with my body nicely. I purchased the sunrise colour which is very attractive, but also helps keep me safer on hikes on crown land during hunting season. So far it has been durable with no rips and no leaking down. The pockets are a great size and I especially love the inner zipped chest pocket to keep my phone warm and safe. Overall, a wonderful lightweight down hoodie that packs down nicely!
