T Lock Bootie (Women)

The shoes fit right. I tried both 9.5 and 10. I usually get 9.5 on boots and 10 for sandals. The 10 was too big and 9.5 was a great fit. But after walking less than 1/4 miles it started to hurt on the lateral side of my ankles. The TB buckles were digging in my skin with each step and it was painful. Because I was traveling with them four 9hours, I had to use a cotton pad to cover the area and ease the discomfort. I hope I can return them. Seriously!

I bought these booties in size 8.5, which is my usual size in Tory Burch boots. They are true to size, but the fit is a little narrow and the leather is very stiff. I'm hoping that the booties will soften and widen with use, as they are leather, but until that happens, they will continue to feel uncomfortable. The 3 stars I've given the booties are for the aesthetics - they are indeed beautiful and look very chic. I used a $300 gift card to purchase these booties (they were also on sale) - I think I would've returned them if I had paid the full price out of my own pocket as I would expect a $400+ shoe to be as comfortable as it is beautiful.
