A child carrier backpack with a machine-washable seat provides under leg support to maximize comfort on any adventure.
What it does: You can easily access the 22-liter gear compartment while wearing the pack through convenient side zippers. A deployable UPF 50+ sunshade protects your child and keeps the carrier cool.
Additional features: The fully adjustable torso and hip belt provide a perfect fit, a comfortable carry and quick transition from parent to parent. The fully ventilated back panel keeps the parent comfortable and cool. A dual access lets you load your child from the top or the side panel opening. The hydration-compatible design features a drink tube exit port in the gear compartment (reservoir sold separately).

Comfortable backpack
Used it few times now. It works well. Easy to load baby in, just make sure to open all the buckles including behind the shoulders. That makes loading them in quite smooth. Convenient to adjust the size between users. Very good baby shade, better than some competitors. Enough storage for a short summer hikes, but consider getting an extra pack attachment. Take hiking poles as with the baby your centre of gravity is really high up and it makes you feel a bit unstable. You’re probably not used to it. All those packs don’t feel like your regular hiking backpacks.

Broke on our first hike
I was really excited to try out our new Thule Sapling baby carrier. We did a test run at the shop and it seemed very comfortable. Unfortunately the carrier broke on our first outing! Baby's seat is "secured" by a plastic clip that allows you to adjust the height of the seat. This is a major design flaw as this tiny clip takes the full weight of the baby and is clearly not strong enough. The seat clip broke and our son dropped to the bottom of the carrier. He is 12kg so is nowhere near the upper weight limit for the carrier (20kg). The quality is not at all what I expected from a brand like Thule and it's not a cheap carrier. We've returned this and I would advise parents not to waste their money on this product.

Comfy backpack for baby!
Bought this for our first backpacking trip with baby. He’s 6.5 months so perfect to start using this. I like how it’s adjustable for mom and dad. Not a great amount of storage but we made it work. Would love if the additional pack and rain cover came with the carrier as it’s pricey!

We’ve used this carrier on multiple hikes now and it’s exceeded all expectations. The build quality is excellent — super sturdy, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The adjustable fit for both parents is a huge plus, especially when switching between users of different sizes. Our child is secure and comfortable, often even falls asleep in it, which says a lot!

Best hiking carrier!
We love this carrier so much we just bought a second one to hike with our 8 month old and 2 year old. It’s so easy to adjust the straps and packs to fit my husband or myself. The adjustable hip belt has huge pockets to safely store keys and phones. I can easily reach the back main compartment without having to take the pack off! Our favourite part is the seat which scoops under the kiddos bum so their legs aren’t dangling straight down. It feels secure and supportive on hikes, and we love the rain cover for both rain and cold winter days. Parent and kiddo approved! 10/10

Great for Family Adventures
I bought this over a month ago and have taken it in a few hikes with my daughter and she loves it. I tried a few other brands but I think that the Thule is worth the price. The only downside side is that there is not water bottle holder you have to use a bladder which on shorter hikes I don’t normally bring. But over all it’s great.
