Love Mother, but these are an odd fit

I have multiple pairs of Mother jeans. This pair was an odd fit. The waist fit just right, but the crotch area bunched up and the looked funky. I’m 5’2” and they hit right below my ankle. They seemed thicker than my other Mother jeans. They would stretch out during day. Returned.
