The Cleo Sandal

Out of the box, I thought these shoes looked rather basic for the price. But the small details really grew on me. The buckle is high quality. The gold color is a distinctive and saturated true gold and not the cheap "light gold" you see elsewhere. It looks designer. Fit wise, I felt the shoes ran a little short and the toe was ever so slightly narrow. I ended up returning the shoes to Nordstrom and I later purchased a larger size directly off the brand website. The block heel is very stable and comfortable. It's a nice height for all day wear.

I'm usually a size 8 US, and I got the 39M in Gold Nappa. I have very boney and flat feet, and the toe strap felt too roomy for me. The balls of my feet kept sliding further down and my toes popped out over the edge. If you have a bit more fat and/or arch in your feet, these might be fine for you. The real problem I had was with the shoe bottoms; they have absolutely ZERO tread and were extremely slippery on every surface I tried them on. Sure, I could add a sticker tread to the bottom, but that would make these nice shoes look cheap :( Three stars for the quality of the leather and the gold buckle - they look very pretty.
