What it does: It's formulated with a unique blend of botanical ingredients and essential oils. It also helps protect against irritation and razor burn by promoting razor glide.
How to use: Before shaving, rub a small amount of oil on your hands and massage into your beard. Lather up shaving cream or soap on top of the oil and shave.

Lower the cost of shaving
I shave in the shower with hot water.
This pre-shave oil, followed by a can of Barbasol allows my razor (Gillette Mach 3) to last for several months.
I experience no razor burn or skin irritation of any kind.
I don’t use a shaving brush.
The Art of Shaving is a brand I trust because it just works.
Because each Mach 3 cartridge razor last for several months, this pre-shave oil has lowered the cost of shaving drastically.

Pre-shave paste not pre-shave oil
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works as advertised. Using it does give an even closer shave. Sounds great right? Not quite. Its extremely sticky. Almost like linseed oil. Everything it touches gets sticky. Its almost impossible to get it off of your hands, brush, razor,towel, soap, etc. You almost have to take another shower after you shave to get it off of you. While it works great its just not worth the aggravation.

Not quite unscented
The unscented oil definitely has a scent. Kind of a natural, piney scent. Works really nicely, though. Would be nice if it had a dropper.
