The Teva brand was born in 1984 in the Grand Canyon, when a river guide rigged two Velcro watchbands to an old pair of flip-flops to create a shoe that wouldn't float away. More than 30 years later, Teva has become synonymous with comfort, durability and utilitarian style. The brand's original sandals line has expanded to include boots and sneakers for women, men and kids.
This brand meets Nordstrom Responsible Brands criteria: TEVA has committed to science-based climate action, with targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with the latest climate science.
The reviews are mixed which held me back, but I took the plunge and absolutely love these. You do need to sit down to put them on and they are a little slappy but so cute and comfy. I’m between 9-9.5 and size 9 fits great (I have a normal width foot). I might need another color!

hurt my feet
Do not purchase. I wanted to love them but they hurt my feet after wearing for a few hours. I don’t recommend these unfortunately.

There is a bit of smack.
Like: color is a tad darker than marketing photos, but is a perfect neutral. Literally goes with everything. They are comfortable right out the box, I have wider feet and never had any scuffing or blisters, and I wore these for 2 plus hours of walking for three days.
Dislike: honestly, I liked these shoes through and through.
They are not a slip on shoe, you will have to sit down and get your foot in there and adjust the straps. I found the best way is to make sure the straps are snug, not strangling, and then leave some excess in the back. Once you pull the tightening strap the excess will tighten as well even though the two aren’t connected.
They do slap a little like a flip flop, but if you tighten then correctly it’s not obnoxiously loud.

Sesame color is different from picture
Sesame is a darker gray-ish or clay-ish on my skin color, and not a light beige like I anticipated. The design with straps looks more generic than I expected too especially compared to the other pair of Tevas I have (pic). My feet are of regular width and while the straps were narrow at first, you can loosen them up. I returned it because of the color.

Success for Italian vacation
Purchased as a comfortable shoe for a 2 week trip in Italy. Wore 50% if the trip. Unbelievable comfortable. 15-24 k steps per day without a need to wear in. And goes with everything. Wish they weren't sold out so I could get another color.

These are awesome
I love these sandals! I certainly wouldn’t like, hike a mountain in them, but I walked a couple miles yesterday at the zoo and they felt great all day. No breaking in period for me. No rubbing or marks from the straps. I wear between 7.5-8 depending on brand, I ordered these in an 8 and they fit with a tiny bit of room. I might’ve been able to go down to a 7. So cute and stylish.
