Supergoop! Sunnyscreen SPF 50 Spray

I figured the non-aerosol spray bottle would make for easier application, but I was wrong! The spray comes out in a single stream and then does not spread AT ALL. Just leaves white polkadots all over where you spray and it would take half a bottle rub in for full coverage. The white cast is intense, even for a mineral SPFs (expected, and not why I'm taking off stars, but be warned.) A product marketed to babies and kids needs to be easy to use as well as safe, and this is one is the biggest pain to apply. Stars for effectiveness though.

This is my second purchase of this product. Cons: The spray nozzle constantly gets clogged. The sunscreen leaves a very white cast and is not moisturizing at all. Too drying for face. Pros: Mineral sunscreen. Good for bodies (not face) with sensitive skin. NO Scent! :) Easy to slather on kiddos but they look like watered-down white paint has been wiped all over them. Kiddo’s won’t burn with continued use and if you apply it throughout the day. Overall, we will use it this summer, but if I can find a non-scented mineral sunscreen or okay scented mineral sunscreen for sensitive skin, I will switch. I really like the sunny screen lotion — it is my favorite — and the mineral sunscreen stick for face. They have more moisture and less of a white cast. If the spray nozzle worked consistently and this lotion had more moisturizing elements, I would consider continuing to use it — even with the uber whitening effect. Overall, thank you for your products and continuing the sunny screen line; it is superior to most products out there and — trust me — I have tried buckets full of them!

I was excited for a spray bottle that wasn’t aerosol for my littles. But the way it comes out in globs and not as a spritz was disappointing. It sticks in one spot and is hard to spread out. I end up having to spray it in my hand and rub it on my kids. Which defeats the purpose of it being a spray.
