(Re)setting 100% Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 35

I have been wanting to try a mineral powder sunscreen for quite a while but I was skeptical about how it would look. I was pleasantly surprised by the way this powder spooks and feels so natural. I would actually use this as a “blurring” or perfecting powder foundation even if it didn’t have sunscreen. It really helps even out some of the redness and a camouflage a few of the dark spots I have on my cheeks. It is by no means a full coverage makeup look and some of my skin flaws were still visible but it DID give me that light natural but “blurred/perfected” look I have been looking for. The ONLY reason I gave 4/5 stars is because I don’t love the way the dispenser works. It is easy enough to close and open if you pay attention to the directions, and it does have a little plastic cover that you pull up to protect the bristles from getting crumpled when you put the main plastic cover on .....but I find that the only way to really load the brush with powder each time for use is to tap the brush on my hand until I can see the powder appear on the brush- the only problem with that is that when that happens a big puff of the powder comes out and ends up on the counter. The solution of course is to lay down a piece of tissue before tapping it to collect the fly off but I the first couple of times I wasted a good dose of the powder. Even with this though, I really recommend giving this a try. I have fair to medium skin and I am just now showing the beginning of a little tan and I found that the medium worked just fine. It could really go either way....if I was a little more tan it would be ok and when the tan fades it will still blend in without looking to dark.

Nordstrom sent me an expired product. It expired in March 2024. I called to get this resolved. I have to go out of my way to a Fedex to return this. This is ridiculous. First off I don’t have a FedEx anywhere near me secondly when it’s an error on the merchants end, they should arrange to have the product picked up. Still no one has followed up about this. This is not the first time Nordstrom has sent me expired SPF specifically from supergoop. NO MORE ORDERING SPF FROM NORDSTROM ONLINE.

I am obsessed with this product. I bought the Translucent to put on my face before I go out for a trail run. Typically, I break out with every single sunscreen, even powdered ones. I wear it every time I’m out on the trail and I sweat a lot. I have no breakouts from it. The product stays in place and makes my skin look great. I do keep it with me when I run and I reapply it after an hour or so. I also put it on my neck, chest and my shoulders. It is the best sunscreen I have ever used.

I purchased this in medium and am really happy with the color (I wear Ilia Skin Tint in 9.5). I haven't had any issues with the packaging like some of the reviewers. The instructions on how to seal the powder, remove the cap, etc. were on the box. I love that I can throw it in my purse and quickly add additional sun protection when I'm on the go. I use Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint in the morning with the mineral zinc SPF, but my dermatologist said that after about two hours its important to reapply. Essentially by lunch time, your SPF is gone. He recommended mineral powder foundations because of their ease in layering over your makeup and skin care SPFs, and I choose this one because it specifically calls out Zinc as the ingredient. I've used it as a setting powder after applying makeup and it has the same beautiful finish. I've used lots of supergroup products and haven't been disappointed with the quality. I'm planning on purchasing the translucent color to use for my kids and husband when were on the go and applying additional liquid SPF isn't ideal.
