Strapless Satin Trumpet Gown

I ordered two of these dresses as a backup wedding dress, and was shocked when both arrived in one thin box. These aren't lined, just one sad, cheap layer of satin. It honestly looks like something that came from Shein, and not Nordstrom. I'm a size 14, and bought one 16 (which didn't zip) and the 18 (which was a bit big).

This is a pretty dress, however, I am 5 ft 3inches, and 115lbs. I need a dress cut for a petite. The darts in the torso and the bodice do not fit my frame properly. please bring back petite sizing from your designers. It is impossible to shop for dresses these days.

I bought this dress for my wedding day, it’s stunning! The fit is perfect. I got a lot of compliments from my friends and family.

I should’ve listened to the reviewer who called this dress cheap. 1. The beautiful green is a lot less beautiful in person. Darker (not a bad color) but it doesn’t catch the light which is a bummer. 2. Fits well-ish, but the material doesn’t allow it to hug the way it should. It’s almost crinkly, but not in a good way. There’s an extra bit of material that doesn’t settle right. A bit long, but I’m 5’4” so not unexpected. Doesn’t quite fit like a typical trumpet. Might be due in part to the blah fabric. 3. I was on the fence until I read the tag…I should’ve done more than just read the “satin” description. The dress is poly, feels and looks poly (albeit decent quality poly). Directions say that you can wash it in the machine…ummmm, no. I mean, it could save $$, but yeah…just not doing all that for a $300+ dress.

I am 5'11 and bra size 38DD normal wear size 16. I ordered size 18 and the dress was too tight in the chest but most importantly :from waist to the top of the dress it was just too short.. like 3 inches short. So do not recommend for tall and long torso women.

The fabric looks a bit cheap for a $200+ dress. I wasn’t expecting it to be incredible for that price point but it was lack luster. The fabric bunched at the waist and it wasn’t flattering. I’m usually a size 10 at the hips and have to have things taken in at the waist but with the fabric being as cheap looking as it was, it wasn’t worth paying for alterations.
