Never had this happen!!
The ankle strap was fine and secure but when I stood up to walk my entire foot came out of the shoe! This is my second paid of Badgley Mischka that I had to return as they are way too wide.

shoes with a mind of their own
I bought both 7 1/2 and 8. I often get an eight in dress shoes because of the pointy toe, but in this case the 7 1/2 was the best for me. The shoes are so pretty. The heel was just right and was well balanced as I walked. The foot bed was had a comfortable pitch. I thought they were perfect! As I wore them around the house, I began to see exactly what other reviewers have stated. I was walking up the steps and my foot came right out of the shoe I was sitting down with my leg crossed and my foot came out of the shoe that time too. I think what happens is that the ankle strap has some give and allows your foot to pull back out of the front part of the shoes. Everything's fine when you're just standing, looking in the mirror and admiring how good your feet look... but then when you start moving, the shoes have their own ideas.

would not stay on my feet
These are very pretty and I love the heel height, but unfortunately they would not stay on my feet. I wore them to a holiday party and every time I stood the shoe on whatever foot I led with would fall off.

beautiful shoe
Needed dressy show for a wedding. These were amazing. Fit was great and the heel height was perfect. Danced for hours! Others were taking their shoes off but I had no problem with hours of fun.

Obsessed with these beautiful shoes!
They’re actually so comfortable, perfect heel height. I’m normally 5-5.5, the 5 was perfect. They’re just so pretty. I know pretentious , but let yourself treat yourself sometimes to get a little dopamine so we can continue to move forward:). So basically BUY IT, DO IT
