Strapless Floral Print Brocade Midi Dress

I ordered this along with two other dresses from this designer and I'm leaving detailed reviews on all of them so no one makes the same mistake I did. I ordered this one despite the low stars because someone wrote how they didn't understand the bad review - well, I'm here to explain it. If you are going to your prom, then the materials that this designer uses may be appropriate. But as an adult looking for a high quality dress to wear to an event, these dresses are awful. One the model this looks flowy and light. The material is actually stiff organza. There is a shimmer throughout that reminds me of something I would have purchased from a cheap mall store in my late teens for home coming. There were already threads coming off of it and it feels so cheap I'd worry about standing too close to an open flame/table candle. Fit & Sizing- Unlike some of the other dresses, this one does almost hit the natural waist as shown. However, the dress was about 1 1/2 sizes too big on me so if I sized down it would have been too short waisted. I am not long waisted. I do have a large bust, and the build in bustier had cups that fit, so I don't understand why they wouldn't have extended the waist down if they understand the cup size. Typically dresses, especially strapless run small but this runs huge. I wear a 12 in street clothes, sometimes size up to a 14 for my chest. The 14 was enormous and I imagine the 12 still would have required alterations to take in. THE SKIRT IS NOT AS PICTURED - I love this cut on my figure, but this is not actually as pictured. They must have pinned a bunch of the fabric back, and then they pinned the front pleats down on the model. The skirt has about twice as much material as the picture makes it look like and it does not lay flat like this. Because it's a cheap, stiff materials it's unruly, it doesn't follow the lines of the pleats and you get a sloppy, poofy skirt.
