Great single layer
Layering is great, but sometimes you just want to grab a jacket that will be warm when it is cold and will be fine if its wet. This is that jacket. Nicely insulated with an over-shell that keeps the rain and sleet out. It has a comfortable fit making it my perfect walk up and down Park City Main street jacket.

Good but not great.
Okay….. but needs some work.
When I read the MH took a Ghost Whisperer and added a Pertex shell, I was stoked. And it’s pretty much been a nice coat. That said, there are a few really annoying attributes that shouldn’t be in a coat this expensive.
1. The pit zips often double over and jam you in the side when you lower your arms. I think it’s because they terminate too low and the pertex is really stiff. But yeah, it can be surprisingly annoying.
2. Holy cow the wind block under the zipper is incredibly annoying. It is VERY stiff, and won’t roll away from your face no matter how many times you move it. If the coat is partially unzipped just plan on it being in your mouth non stop.
3. The bottom hem is a really weird length and diameter. All proportions on the coat are spot on, except this hem is just a LITTLE too long and a LITTLE too narrow.
I received 50% off this coat, or I’d send it back due to these features.

Great Jacket, could be perfect
Jacket as a quick grab-and-go option, especially for walking the dog when I’m not always focused on perfectly layering for the day. I ordered both a medium and a large; while I preferred the overall fit and look of the medium, I ultimately chose the large to allow more flexibility for layering underneath without feeling restrictive in the armpit and shoulder area.
I want to LOVE this jacket but needs improvement (1) sloppy hood (2) pockets should have a nice liner (3) interior drop pockets on both sides

Storm whisperer
Great jacket! Not bulky and still really warm. I am 5’9 180lbs and ordered a size M, length and sleeves are perfect but a little tight in the shoulders. This tends to be the case for me with most athletic fitting jackets. I will definitely buy another one in the future.

THIS JACKET ROCKS! PERIOD!
I got this jacket as a replacement winter jacket, and it has been warm, warm, warm and cozy and comfortable during these Chicago winter days since I received it. It is maybe slightly "technical" for just city, casual use? Maybe ... but I like the extras, and it makes it all that more versatile for winter hikes and winter sports. I bought a MEDIUM and the fit is perfect, slightly fitted, but not too much at all, and there is plenty of room for a sweater underneath. Although, I will note that the jacket is certainly warm enough (down to the teens in temperature) to not need a whole lot of layering beneath. BONUS for sure. The fit? I am about 6' tall and 165 lbs, and again, the M is perfect. I really dig the color as well too.

Overall happy with jacket
I bought this a month ago. Overall happy with the jacket other than the hood. I wish there was a draw string to get a better fit around the side of my face to block wind from getting into the hood (when wind is blowing into face straight on). The draw string that the hood does have doesn’t address this issue.
