Bad fit: waist too tight, hips too wide
Purchased petite small. For reference, I am 5/2", 110 lbs. The fabric quality is nice but the fit is not good. The waist is a little tight - tolerable but not great. The hips are way too wide for my body, so they look odd. I don't care for the pleated front that add bulk to the extra large hip size. I will keep these but only wear them around the house. Was hoping for something comfortable but nice enough for errands, etc. Big disappointment.

So comfortable and can be dressed up or down. The length is perfect. It’s so hard to find pure cotton shorts, so I’m glad for these. They do run very big. I usually wear an XL but sized down to L, and I think I could almost get a M next time.

Comfy, boxy
I bought these to replace an earlier version that I completely wore out! These are a bit longer and boxier, which is why I gave a 4-star review -- I think the look is a bit doofy for me, but could suit others. I'll still wear them, though! I'm short-waisted, so I bought the Petite size.

Great knit shorts
This is a very soft knit comfortable pair of shorts. I have sensitivity since back surgery and find these much more comfortable than denim or chinos
