Spanx redeemed themselves
I needed shape wear specifically to keep my thighs from rubbing together, under dresses, and to provide a little tummy control. I think I purchased every Spanx thigh slimmer shape wear. The material was either too fragile, and/or there was thigh control but no tummy control, or tummy control and no thigh control. Some rolled up and down. I had given up when I saw this. I cautiously purchased one pair.
I am 29" waist and 40" hips. I purchased medium.
These are fabulous. The fabric is strong, but not heavy and hot. They do not show under close fitting clothing. They prevent my thighs from rubbing together. They do not roll up or down. To prevent roll down, you must pull them up and as close to underneath your breast as possible. Do not wear them as shown in the picture. Pulling them up as high as possible also provides tummy and waist control. The compression is firm yet very comfortable.
I returned for 3 more pairs.
BTW. These are more or less panties. So there is no gusset. But they are easy to pull down and up.

ouch!!
Oh my goodness! I am usually a size medium (5’ 6”, 138 lb) and these Spanx just made me want to curl up in a ball and CRY about my body for an hour. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! They squeezed my abdomen so tightly I felt like my organs were rearranging themselves to make due! I am so disappointed. This was my first ever pair of Spanx and likely my last - I sent them right back.

Holds you in!
Love Spanx in general. The Power Short Mid Thigh Shaper is a firm control short. It does the job without being bulky. Comfortable. It can cause "muffin top", so if you have that issue depending on what you are wearing, you need to use the Spanx Higher Power short that ends up under your bust line and not at your waist. (or another shaper product that covers your midsection) I am short-waisted so this product rolls a tiny bit at the waist, but with skirts and pants, it isn't bad and everything does that on me because I'm am short-waisted. If I am wearing something body conscious or a dress or something, I will wear a full shaper slip or Higher Power shorts to avoid the rolling at my waist for a smooth line.
Nice quality...should hold up well. I wash mine on gentle and hang to dry so they will last longer. Bought the nude. Wish I had purchased the black during the Anniversary sale too!

Lightweight but Firm
Great product. I am full in the thigh area and most all of my previous thigh shapers roll up & have a uncomfortable large band around leg area. Finally found one that is lightweight, firm but not constricting, stays put and does not have the wide band. I started with one pair and quickly went back to purchase 3 more.

Not as comfortable as longer length
This is an "ok" shaper, but I don't like it as much as the longer length. It seemed to "ride up" on my thighs the first time I wore it. And of course because it's been worn, I can't return or exchange for the longer length. This might be good if you are petite, because it's definitely "short" on me at 5'7".

Its Seamless
Love the new no seam power short. It has all the control as the tradional power pant, a little shorter, and of course no seams. No bulges either. I wear it under skirts and dresses. I bought black this time.
