Wedge Lace-Up Espadrille Sandal

I LOVE these sandals. I’ve been searching for the perfect pair of wedge espadrilles for so long. A friend got these and raves about them so I ordered them. They are very comfortable and super classy. I ordered a 1/2 size down and they fit perfectly.

I have wide feet, one 5" and the other 4.5" wide. I typically take an 8.5 for closed toe sandals with a heel, sneakers and boots and a size 8 for flat sandals. I bought both a size 8 and a size 9. Sizing - I couldn't squeeze into the 8 at all due to the width of my feet. The big and small toe joints of my feet couldn't make it into the covered portion of the sandal. The length of the shoe was good though. It cupped the back of my heel well without any additional wiggle room (which is better for this type of sandal) For the size 9, while I was able to fit both toe joints in, it still felt like the edges were slightly cutting into the joints. In addition, because I sized up, I had about a thumbnail's worth of extra room in the back heel, which makes this sandal fit a lot looser than it should. With a lace up sandal, that's not what you really want. As a result, I'm returning both. Because of the heel, even when wearing the 9, gravity would only make it feel more uncomfortable throughout the day as your foot slides towards the edges of the canvas fabric and it cuts into the toe joints more. Quality - It's a decently made shoe. There's not much padding. Compared to my Castaners, the Castaners have more padding and comfort. In addition, the fabric that covers the toes in the Soludos is just lined with the canvas while the Castaners has a leather lining making it a bit more forgiving for wider feet cause it's more pliable. The sturdier canvas in the Soludos will cut into your joints if you have wide feet like mine. The laces are long enough to do a double cross tie. Style - It's a nice looking espadrille that can go with many outfits and gives your legs a bit of length. Verdict - If you don't have wide feet like mine, then the Soludos is a solid option for you. Seeing how I usually wear 8.5 and the length of the sandal fit me, I would follow their advice and go to the nearest size down if you are half a size. You want a sandal of this kind to fit tightly around your ankles. If it's loose, it'll feel like you're trying to wear extra large pants without a belt, but for your feet.

These look great on, they just aren't comfortable. The fabric for the heel does nothing to hold the heel so the shoe ends up being entirely supported and attached to the foot by the ties around the ankle. Just walking across the room those ties threatened to cut off my circulation- I can't imagine actually wearing these for a day!

These are the most comfortable Espadrilles I have ever worn, especially with how high the heel is. I am usually between a 6.5 and 7, I’m glad I ordered the 6.5 because it fits perfectly! The pink is soo pretty and I’ll probably end up buying more colors!

These are very nice looking shoes. However, they are not lined with leather as shown in the pictures. The back and the front of the show are only material made. So was disappointed the feel of the rim around the front part of the foot is a little bit rough to the skin sue to material seam. The laces are a bit flimsy, as well not very good quality grade. Nordstrom's need to put a picture of the actual shoe they are selling without the leather lining, it is very MISLEADING what is on website and what you will receive. They do run big, so size down at least half size.

These shoes are perfect in my opinion-- pretty, sexy, stylish, comfortable, and they have a nice high wedge heel. I also have them in black and those are beautiful as well. I wear them with jeans, dresses, and skirts. I would highly recommend these shoes. I normally wear a six but the 5.5 fit. Reviews stated to size down. I normally need to anyway with a high heel.
