Transitional skirt

Made as carefully as a designer skirt- for proof examine the stitching around hem, pockets & seams. It feels like a cross between poplin & sateen - very attractive. I’m pairing it with 2 Vince tops - the long sleeve stripe crop top & the short sleeve cashmere/silk pullover. A steal at this price.

Nice but not for me

Skirt is very voluminous. The smocked waist is very wide. I have a slightly short torso, and the top of the waist was practically at my bra line. On the plus side, the fabric is a crisp, lightweight poplin, but you'll be using a lint roller on it because it attracts lint like a magnet. Nordstrom makes another black poplin skirt with a pleated front and a regular waistband which I recommend for a neater look. Both skirts run large so go smaller if you're in between sizes.

perfect poplin skirt!

My waist is 25.5” and the size XS fit perfectly. It didn’t feel uncomfortable on my waist and I couldn’t imagine buying any other size. I’m 5’ and I think the skirt looks so cute at ankle length. I could also fold the smocking if I wanted a shorter length. Totally recommend if you’re looking for a smocked skirt!
