Intraknit Merino 200 Long Sleeve T-Shirt

I use this for an underlayer for road cycling. Perfect to keep dry and warm for 2 hour ride/with cold weather style jacket. The convenience of one under layer makes for an easy choice to be comfortable with the lower temps(36 F)

I have used it on a 15 km hike, was very comfortable and moisture wicking was on par.

I bought a set for running. My short sleeve shirts are soaked with sweat after runs. I wear a medium in Smartwool base layers, the medium for intraknit is a lot shorter. I returned it, and bought an extra large. Its best to buy two sizes up from the merino wool base layers you normally buy, at least for me. Its a little heavier than the other base layers, its also not full merino, its 50% polyester. It doesn't absorb sweat as much as the 100% merino base layers, this may be because it has polyester. I ran a few weeks ago in 5 degree weather for ten miles, it kept me warm, the layer was just damp from my sweat. Its good if you just want to use it for the cold weather, but you might want to use a 100% merino base layer for running.

I wore this on a recent ski trip that ranged from warm, spring-like days to true winter cold with wind and storms. The temperature regulation was outstanding across the full spectrum. It breathed well during higher-output (including backcountry) skiing and never felt clammy, yet still provided enough warmth on cold lift rides and stormy days. The fit is athletic without being restrictive, and mobility was excellent under a shell and midlayers. It layers cleanly and never felt bulky. For a single base layer to perform this well in both warm and cold conditions is impressive. I couldn't have asked for more versatility or comfort from one piece.

Great base layer. I will purchase other colors in the future.
