Don't buy if you want to go outside or wear a pack

I have a 10 year old Atom that has held up amazingly and I was so excited to try another. I ordered one new and was immediately disappointed with the obvious drop in outer fabric quality. After a week of use, it looks worse than the 10 year old one with snags and pilling on all the contact surfaces and sleeves. I can't wait to return it. Extremely disappointed

Hi Sam, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience with the new Atom Hoody has not met your expectations. We understand how disappointing it can be to notice pilling or snagging after only a short period of use. As materials and product designs evolve over time, guest experiences may vary depending on use and conditions, but we appreciate your perspective on the durability of the current fabric. If you believe the wear you're experiencing is unusual, we encourage you to submit a Product Service Request so our After-Sales team can review the garment and assess the situation: https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/help/product-service/service-request. Thank you again for sharing your experience, as feedback like yours helps us continue to improve our products.

Must have jacket!

Great feel and overall look, love that the bigger sizes are built more roomy with a relaxed fit. Five star for me had it been even more breathably in humid condition but against a lot of competitors this is by far the best overall!

4th Jacket

This is my 4th Atom hoody and will continue to wear this jacket proudly. Perfect for outdoors or travel, lightweight yet very warm and comfortable.

Good with caveats.

Atom Hoody has pilling on back after less than 1 season of use. Only light backpack use, nothing heavy carried. Coreloft compact 60 is very warm. Vitality color is awesome. In my opinion, the Luminara on my old Atom LT is much more durable.
