Selani Stripe One-Shoulder Maxi Dress

Buyer beware: I own this dress in other colors and prints. I love the way it fits. However, the stripes on the top and skirt of this dress are misaligned by about an inch. Looks like a mistake made during production. I also ordered this dress from the Rails website and it was defective too. It does not look like the photo (false marketing.) Bummer because I was excited for this dress.

I wish I had read the other review explaining that the stripes are misaligned and not as pictured. I'm not sure if it's every dress produced (?!) but the stripes do not run top to bottom as pictured on the model. Instead they are 1-2 inches off so the top stripes detach from the skirt stripes. Other stitching on the dress such as at the slit is very sloppy and somewhat disappointing at this price point. Between the poor craftsmanship and the semi-synthetic Rayon content I'm having a hard time understanding the $250 price point. It's cute on and fits me well but this may not be a keeper.

I LOVE this dress! It doesn’t really matter that the pattern isn’t completely aligned. The material is a super comfortable cotton blend for the summer, and the pockets are a super cute! Love the style and the fabric!

I purchased in S and XS and both dresses have the stripes completely misaligned so it does not look like the model here with the stripes running unbroken from top to bottom. This seems like a manufacturing defect. When I search Google images I can find authorized retailers who take their own photos of items showing the misaligned stripe pattern. Is it possible to buy the version pictured? I also found reviews noting returns for manufacturing defects with the stripes.
