Also called "five-flavor berry," schizandra is a traditional botanical in Chinese herbal practice. These organic berries are hand-picked and air-dried, yielding a tart, flavorful infusion that is especially refreshing over ice. Processing notes: picked by hand, air dried.
- Ingredients: Organic schizandra berries. Caffeine: Caffeine-Free. Origin: Mongolia and Far Eastern Russia. How to brew: Combine 3 heaping TBSP schizandra berries, 1/4 cup raw sugar and 1 quart water in a small pot. Bring to a boil and simmer 20 minutes, stirring until sugar dissolves. Strain over 2 cups of ice. Yields 24 oz, or two 12 oz mugs.
