Sandaloo Platform Sandal (Women)

I never knew I was a shoe guy until I got these for my wife on Valentine’s Day. Added another lighter pair to her collection since these are heavier than expected and not good for indoor use. The toe box is smaller than the dolly pumps but similar to the Kate’s with the stilettos, even though the shoe fit is perfect lengthwise. I’ve been told that the smaller strap on the ankle is notable as other brands generally have a thicker strap — which can make the platform look bulkier; the thinner strap produces a slim waistline effect for the ankle and when paired with a body con dress with a split it really brings out this contrast like a hidden gem. Walking comfort is on the lower end even with the thicker heel, but I suppose that is to be expected of Christian Louboutin’s design choices and the fact that these are 130mm/5 inch tall heels. Fun fact for anyone reading this not in the know, generally you halve the heel height, for instance a 3 inch heel becomes 1.5 extra inches or around that ballpark. The Sandaloo, due to the toe box being lifted, see’s about ~3.35 inches of increase which has allowed my wife to wear taller than expected dresses without needing to tailor them. I would like to add that the brown box it came in is of subpar quality, and not suitable for display in her closet. And the soft bag it came with seems like an after thought. The signature red bottoms are less prominent when looking at them from the front. They’re a bit more pronounced from the back but still lack visibility due to the thicker heel. However, they’re absolutely gorgeous when you flip them over and look right between the arches. Overall, I am happy with the purchase, and the wife loves them.

These are so comfortable. They run true to size for Louboutin. I usually cannot wear over 85mm for any length of time. This style is the exception. I reach for these all the time and have no issues walking in them or standing for several hours. These definitely elongate your legs and are sexy, but not over the top. Buy them, you won’t regret it.
