Sylvia Knee High Boot (Women)

Wrong description - it's black suede, not leather. No calf circumference info so I had to rely on the photo yet the photo misleads - seem slender, but actually huge. I could stick my whole fist in the extra room. All 3 problems could be easily avoided - if online shopping is the direction Nordstrom wants to push, out up ACCURATE product information. Not doing so means product return which wastes everyone's time, Nordstrom doesn't get the revenue, and no happy customer.

I love these boots - they are modern with the snipped toe, yet still a classic knee high leather boot. I have a wider foot so sized up to a 9 from an 8.5, and have room to add an insole for extra cushion. I wore them for several hours shopping yesterday and they were very comfy for about five hours before my feet started hurting, so I’m counting this as comfy and I assume this will be better once I add in the extra insole. I got several compliments as I walked around the mall yesterday:). I took one star off because they are a little bit saggier than I’d like around the ankles, but that could be because I sized up.

I fell in love with the color and heel of the shoe. It looks very stylish. I was between a 6 and 6.5 but I rarely have to buy a 6.5. I was right to go with the 6. I didn't realize that it only comes in wide calf. They were really uncomfortable when I first put them on. I know Sam Edelman is not really comfortable to me, I thought I could eventually break it in. As for height I think they were just right. I'm 5'1 ; 113 lbs and just came right under my knee so I am safe bending my leg. Unfortunately- I will return them. The color isn't enough to disregard the wide calf and how there is no support to your foot/ ball of foot. For a shoe that is $200 or more, I need it to check all my boxes and I may have to spend more to get better quality/choices. My search continues!

I'm 5'1 and 125 pounds with muscular calves (~14 inch circumference) so it's always a mystery if boots will fit me. These are really pretty, especially the heel design, but there's a few issues for me: 1. They were tight around my calves with tights and no way they would fit with leggings or jeans. 2. The shaft is too tall for my leg length, it lands at a weird part just under my knee. 3. Since the boot is clearly designed for a taller human, the back part of the ankle tapers in too high for me and creates a weird illusion around ankles - not the clean lines i was hoping for. Sadly will be going back. Will probably work better for someone who is taller and with slimmer claves than me.

I’m 5’2” and have big calves (athletic build). I struggle with high knee boots because of my height and athletic legs but not with these boots! They are just perfect. They fit perfect and they’re so comfortable! I’m extremely happy with my purchase and will definitely get them in brown suede as well.
