Ryder Leather Jacket

The collar looks best zipped up to the top but it was going to rub my chin. Open, it doesn’t hang well. Sadly, I returned.

Very soft, high quality calfskin that drapes beautifully. I’m 62 and have a menopausal rounded belly, which makes it harder for me to find short leather jackets that fit well around my gut without being way too big and bulky around the chest and shoulders. I usually need an XL to accommodate my gut. This jacket in L is the solution. It’s not as swingy on me as on the model but it’s still wide enough that the look is relaxed. Admittedly, I was worried about the video description because that jacket seems to have leather that isn’t smooth and flat covering the zipper (looks like it’s slightly lumpy and bumpy and even a little shinier that the rest of the jacket) but 100% of the leather on mine is perfectly smooth and looks exactly like the body of the jacket. I’ve seen reviews where the collar of the jacket rubs the neck but I’m not having that problem even though my neck is pretty average and isn’t particularly long or graceful. I’d say to go a size down if you have an apple shape or go down two if you don’t. I think a medium would have fit me well pre-menopause. Also, I may be 62 but I lift heavy so my delts can make some clothes too tight across the shoulder. No problem with this jacket

I absolutely loved this jacket and would have kept it if not for the two-way zipper. They are always super difficult , get stuck all the time, and this one was especially bad, it got stuck the very first time I tried it on and for $650 I was not about to deal with that every time I wear it, as it looks best fully zipped up. I agree with other reviewers, All Saints leather jackets tens to run small, at least in the biker style leather jackets I would have to go up to a 10, but I could have worn a small in this one, but preferred the roomier medium so it's more oversized. Really hope AS comes out with another version of this without a two-way zipper!

I really hate buying leather jackets like this at full price, but I have absolutely no regrets on this jacket. The leather is soft and flexible. I love the funnel neck styling. It doesn’t look weird like a collar folded down with the jacket open. But I find this jacket to just be so much more relaxed than most other versions from this brand. It’s a great compliment to the wardrobe. Works really well with a casual outfit or even a work outfit. I would say it definitely runs large. I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily oversized, because it’s not horrendously boxy… But I usually wear a large/10 from this brand and a medium is still a little big on me. I wanted a very relaxed look so I kept it. That’s something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a slimmer fit.

Wow! I knew I was in trouble before I even tried it on. This jacket is expensive, so I would have to absolutely love it to keep it. And I do love it! I wear a size 4 to 6 in jackets for enough room for sweaters. I purchased a small in this jacket. It fits exactly like I wanted it too. It is oversized, but doesn't look too much. I put a thick hoodie under it to make sure I could move, and it was totally fine. My two way zipper, which I love, worked great. To make new zippers smooth you can rub a bar of soap over them. For reference I'm 5'-2" #125 34C.
