What it is: A perfumed wax oval composed of the scent of roses.
Fragrance story: Like a tender, freshly picked bouquet, the Roses scent pays ravishing homage to the queen of flowers. Blooming in the heart of winter, some are still budding, others are blooming, their petals still beaded with dew. Their scent saturates the air with fresh, flowery notes. The diptyque scented oval, designed by the Jean-Marc Gady studio, slowly diffuses its famous fragrance. Each scented-wax perfume diffuser engraved at its heart with the name of the scent in dancing letters is surrounded by a white porcelain medallion, the embodiment of refined, discreet luxury. It features a sober and elegant black cotton rope in the color of the walls of the house, allowing it to be placed wherever you wish. It will release its delicious fragrance for a minimum of three months.

How to use: Designed for use in small spaces such as dressers, closets or on door handles. Must be kept out of direct sunlight and stored at room temperature. Do not place in cars.

Perfection
I absolutely adore these ovals. I was hesitant about buying one based on the mixed reviews I've read, but they are everything I could have hoped for and more. I initially had one in my littlest closet, but I was so happy with it that I bought two more for the other closets.
The scent is the perfect strength, strong enough that I notice it when I open my closets, but not so strong that it gives me headaches. I'm sensitive to many scents, including some of the diptyque scents, but this is such a fresh, natural rose scent and it doesn't bother me at all. The one I've had the longest smells just as strong and fresh as it did the day it arrived. I now have one of these in every closet and I'll be buying more for my dressers when I want to treat myself again.
Like all diptyque products, the ovals themselves are impossibly chic and the packaging is gorgeous.

So dissapointed!
I absolutely love the fragrant Diptyque rose candles and 34 Perfume, so naturally, I assumed that the scented oval would be equally great...boy was I wrong! The box was more scented than the oval itself, even in the smallest places (clothes hamper, for example). $50 wasted, very dissapointed

loses scent SO quickly
I was hopeful this would be such a great addition to one of my dresser drawers and, for a moment, it was great! Unfortunately, it lost 90% of it's fragrance within a couple of days...definitely a waste of money.

I actually wanted it for my car but I didn’t know it was wax.

Lovely Aroma Floating in My Closet
This wonderful Diptyque wax oval cam with a ceramic holder of the same color and a strong black ribbon to hang it up in my closet (or one can hang anywhere or place it in a drawer of bed linens or lingerie. It smells like heaven. It’s a joyful, pretty, relaxing aroma made by a luxury brand from Paris. Their candles and room spray are wonderful as well. It’s nice to smell roses while getting dressed or in bed. It heightens one’s quality of life. And great as a gift. Came a cute box.
