Rockcraft Crewneck Merino Wool Sweater

Bought this for my husband, so this is some what of a two view point review. He's built like an upside down triangle, and tends to run really warm, but I figured this would be a great, rugged, winter sweater gift. Fits great on him, bought an XL and in his words, "this is really great, it's so warm but not heavy". That's the beauty of 100% wool! so so warm and not that old school 70's sweater heavy. I haven't washed it, bc I dont think it really needs it, you can just air it out bc it's wool. The price point is also great for 100% wool!

The sizing on this sweater is strange. I got a large which is typically my sweater size (and according to this size guide I could have gotten a medium), but it's very tight almost everywhere, especially through the arms. The arm holes are quite small making wearing a shirt under it difficult as it bunches up (and you have to wear a shirt as it is semi-itchy). I'm pretty thin, and given this is marketed as an active sweater I figured it would be sized for a more athletic build, but if I had any bigger arms it wouldn't fit at all. I'm not sizing up because the torso length and arm length are already long enough and i'm worried going up would make these both too long (and the exchange process is a bit of a chore here). The material and color are nice though which makes the sizing all the more disappointing. I'm hoping it stretches out a bit as I continue to wear it and makes it somewhat comfortable.
